Bike Index

We are a proud BikeIndex.org partner!

We are partnered with BikeIndex.org to help Calgarians get their property returned.

Did you know that BikeIndex.org helps return more than just bicycles?
They also list: Bikes, Tandems, Unicycles, Tricycles, Strollers, Recumbents, Bike Trailers, Wheelchairs, Cargo Bikes (front storage), Tall Bikes (multiple frames fused together), Penny Farthings, Cargo Bike Rears (e.g. longtail), Cargo Tricycles (front/rear storage), Trail behinds (half bikes), Pedi Cabs (rickshaws), e-Scooters, e-Skateboards (e-Unicycles, Personal mobility devices, etc), Scooters (not electric), Skateboards (not electric), e-Motorcycles/e-Dirtbikes (no pedals), and Elliptical bikes

With spring here, now is a great time to do it - it doesn't take much time and IT'S FREE! Just fill in the information, and have peace of mind. When a bike is stolen and police recover it, they use Bike Index to see if it's been registered! (read more on that here: The Calgary Police Service Partners with Bike Index )

The information you'll need is:
• Bike serial number - generally these are found on the bottom of the bike where the pedals are or on the frame somewhere
• Manufacturer - for example Mongoose or Trek, generally this is written on the frame and is highly visible
• Model year (if known)
• Frame model - this is generally written on the frame of the bike where it's visible
• Frame color
• What type of item you're registering (from the list above)
• At least 1 photo of the bike
• Email address
Make sure to purchase a sticker prior to registering your item because that is also a field on the form.

Thanks to the generosity of the folks at BikeIndex.org we are now selling QR stickers! Valued at $8USD we're offering them for $6CAD - $2 for shipping, a small amount for Stripe fees, then the rest will be donated to Easter Seals Camp Horizon, which provides individuals with disabilities and medical conditions with life-changing outdoor camp experiences. WE DO NOT PROFIT A CENT OFF IT!
